Doña Mencía presents the DMencia exhibition calendar through December
The Casa de la Cultura de Doña Mencía will host, until the end of the year, four exhibitions from the XXVIII edition of DMencia, selected among 51 proposals from 21 provinces and several countries.

The Diputación de Córdoba has presented the exhibition calendar of the XXVIII edition of DMencia, the contemporary art exhibition organized by the Ayuntamiento de Doña Mencía together with the provincial institution within the Periféricos program of the Fundación de Artes Plásticas Rafael Botí.
The selected works can be visited at the Casa de la Cultura of the town until the end of 2026. According to the exhibition's curator, Moisés Bedmar, the calendar will start with «Retratos del otro», by Marta Fresneda, a project that had already been selected in 2025 but could not be exhibited then due to the delay in the reopening of the exhibition space. This exhibition can be seen until 26 de septiembre.
Afterwards will come «Kypros Bassoa», by Belén Arévalo, from 3 al 17 de octubre. It will be followed by «Contar historias (Kóng Kóo)», by Chou Ming Yi, from 7 al 21 de noviembre. The calendar will close with «Volatile», by Gustavo Fuentetaja, from 4 al 21 de diciembre.
This year's call, which closed on 7 de mayo, received 51 proposals from 21 provincias españolas and from countries such as Argentina, Colombia, Francia, Taiwán or Vietnam, as indicated by the head of Cultura of the Diputación, Gabriel Duque.
The title of this edition is «Metamorfosis. Una revolución antropológica». The mayor of Doña Mencía, Salvador Cubero, noted that the initiative seeks to place the public, through contemporary art, before «the social and environmental urgencies of our time».
