The project is developed by the Instituto Provincial de Desarrollo Económico (Iprodeco) and is co-financed by the Fondo Social Europeo Plus (FSE+). According to the note sent by the Diputación, it seeks to improve digital skills in AI, facilitate the digital transformation of companies and workers, and reduce the specialized training gap among young people, women, people over 45 years old, and people with disabilities.
The delegate for Hacienda y Fondos Europeos, Ana Rosa Ruz, has explained that the training seeks «to improve the capabilities and bring the benefits of this technology closer to the business fabric and self-employed workers of the province of Córdoba». Ruz has pointed out that the program is organized in two phases: a general training for all interested entrepreneurs and, afterwards, more personalized sessions for those who want to apply AI directly to their company.
For his part, Roberto Touza, CEO of Startups.st, has explained that the goal of the workshop is for participants to «be able to escape a bit from the noise surrounding all artificial intelligence» and manage to implement it in a real way in their SMEs or professional activities, with a practical approach that combines training and implementation.
This first session has included a live masterclass on the use of Google Gemini and a workshop to prepare AI agent teams.
Training program
The complete CordobIA itinerary has a duration of sixty hours, divided into forty in-person hours and twenty live online hours. It is aimed at 81 beneficiary people: sixty employees of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and twenty-one unemployed, reaching the entire province of Córdoba.
The planned actions include an AI bootcamp applied to SMEs, digital strategy and change management sessions, individualized mentoring, and job placement support and intermediation.
The registration period for the project remains open. Those interested can check more information on the Iprodeco website.
