The event will present a collection of thirty-one designs that, according to the statement issued by the Diputación, seeks to go beyond the traditional fashion show to become a gathering where fashion, craftsmanship, painting, illustration, jewelry, and music blend around Cordoban identity.
Several creators from the city will take part in the show. In painting and illustration, Javier Ledesma, Clara Gómez Campos, and illustrator Julio Muñoz will participate. In the field of craftsmanship and trades, contributors include jeweler Álvaro Larrosa Furest, Sombrerería Miranda, the floral craftsmanship firm Jaleo Design, and the Escuela de Artes y Oficios Mateo Inurria.
The musical atmosphere will be provided by the Banda de Música La Estrella and the cantaora Lucía Leiva.
The Deputy for Economic Development, Promotion and Employment of the Diputación, Félix Romero, has stated that the event will bring together Cordoban creators and professionals «offering a novel look at the identity and legacy of the capital». Romero, who also chairs Iprodeco, explained that the project was born as a tribute to the city and to those who keep its trades alive.
For her part, the deputy mayor delegate for Culture, Isabel Albás, has encouraged citizens to take part in this event and in the rest of the Noche del Patrimonio program, a celebration held jointly with other World Heritage Cities.
The fashion show will take place on Friday, September 11 at Plaza de Capuchinos and Cuesta del Bailío, as part of the Noche del Patrimonio program.
